    Description

    This is a lucky discovery I wanted to share. From a recent acquisition I found this cabinet card of these four lovely ladies who stopped in to have their picture taken while attending the Farmer's Picnic in Grand Ledge, Michigan on August 10, 1891. Along with the photograph I found two of these ladies calling cards that they wrote out using their nice calligraphic talents as well as some pen and ink work. I wish I had found cards like this for all four, I will keep looking, but this is a sweet combination to have. A picture plus their names written out in there own hands, at least for two of the ladies.
