This is a very nice, original celluloid and tin political campaign pinback button from 1910 that reads "
For Governor - John K Tener.
" John Kinley Tener (July 25, 1863 – May 19, 1946) was an American politician and a Major League baseball player and executive. During his baseball career, Tener played as a pitcher and outfielder for the Baltimore Orioles of the American Association, the Chicago White Stockings of the National League, and the Pittsburgh Burghers of the Players' League. After his playing career, he served as President of the National League. He served as the 25th Governor of Pennsylvania from 1911 until 1915. The pinback is in excellent condition and measures 7/8" in diameter. It was made by A. J. Keil, Philadelphia.
