    Description

Seven-Eighths Inch Celluloid Political Pin "For Congress Wm. H. Barry". From 1911 until 1914, William Barry served as Mayor of Nashua, New Hampshire. In 1922, he was the Democratic nominee for Congress from New Hampshire's Second District, but he lost to the Republican incumbent Edward Wason. The two met in a rematch in 1924 with the same result. Button is in very good condition and still has its original back paper with a union label from Allied Printers Trades Council from Newark New Jersey which leads me to believe that the pin was manufactured by the Whitehead & Hoag Company. Buyer will pay for shipping.
