2017 Jaguar F pace diesel. Project car , as is where is , will not start. Has brand new battery 85 k original miles. Salvage title from front body damage all parts replaced with factory Jaguar. Never Any suspension damage. I bought this car for 35 k in 2018 off E bay it’s always been dealer serviced ran perfect , newer tires. Zero issues until one day it would turn over but not start. Towed to dealer says motor is ruined from skipped timing ? How is thst possible when it was never driven ? I can’t afford a new diesel motor , I would love to fix this but have no clue what is actually damaged. It got 34 mpg never once stopped running. Oil changes done religiously. My lose your gain !! Questions 503-999-0790. At first dealer said it needed a new battery. Then dignosed the bad motor ! Currently registered in Oregon , these are great cars in the snow and very comfortable to drive. Sad to see it go .. for 4K I can buy a complete used engine with a 1 year warranty with 17k miles on it. This is with a 1k core discount. This engine in the car may well be fixable. It was never ran once it would not start. Great opportunity for someone that knows these cars !!!!
