On offer is this antique English sterling silver trophy loving cup bearing
the hallmarks  for  Birmingham 1906  and the makers mark of  Alexand
er Clark.  The trophy loving cup  is of  small  size but surprisingly heavy. The overall height is 5 " , the diameters are ,  base , 2.4  " , cup top 2.9  " and the handle width is 5.75  " . The  weight is  219  grams ,  7.04  troy ounces .
Made to a classic design , this trophy cup has a deep, virtually straight sided cup body. The applied rim is landed and makes for a very firm top edge to the cup.The stem is short and squat and flows down to a spread base over an upright rim. What really makes this trophy cup most attractive is the delightful pair of double C scroll handles ! They stand proudly above the rim , both topped with stylisd leaf capping. Wonderful ! A delightful little trophy cup which is not inscribed , but is plenty thick enough for you to have any dedication inscribed upon it.
The whole is in EXCELLENT CONDITION and is beautifully polished ready to go on display.
For your guidance , I use the words " EXCELLENT CONDITION " only if it is ........., " GOOD CONDITION " to indicate that there are no serious condition problems , but that there may be surface blemishes such as light discolouration , minor dings , dents or scratches commensurate with the age of the piece..............
