    Description

Antique Albumen Cabinet Photo Unidentified, Civil War African American Slave Nanny, Dog on porch and Children, taken by photographer Frank Lawrence of Worcester, Massachusetts, known for it's Underground Railroad.
This photo image was probably taken not too long after the end of the Civil War and was blown up and mounted as a cabinet photo.
My last auction photo of a cdv photo featuring the same African American woman, taken by photographer H.J. Reed also of Worcester, Massachusetts,
    "IS NOT"
included with this sale but was discovered online, during research, in the archives of Getty Image Library.
This cabinet photo has some wear, with discoloration, worn rounded corners, damage to top right corner and entire item measures 4 1/4 x 6 1/2 inches.
Please view auction photos for condition.
    Thanks for your interest.
