Antique S. Kirk & Son Sterling Silver & Glass Vanity Jar Set with “SH” Monogram

Up for sale is an antique late 1800’s or early 1900’s S. Kirk & Son large and small sterling silver and glass vanity or dresser jar set. The large jar features the letters “SH” monogrammed in the top of the lid. With the lid on the jar, this piece measures about 4 3/4” diameter x 2 1/2” tall and the lid itself weighs about 90 grams. The lower outer edge of the lid is marked “S KIRK & SON” and “STERLING” and “210”. This glass jar features an intricate floral design that looks like grapes and grape vines or possibly some other type of berries and vines etched into the sides of the glass. The small jar also features the letters “SH” monogrammed in the top of the lid. With the lid on the jar, this piece measures about 2” diameter x 1 1/2” tall and the lid itself weighs about 29 grams. The lower outer edge of the lid is marked “S KIRK & SON” and “STERLING” and “211A”. This glass jar features an intricate ridged design of many vertical lines cut in the sides of the glass and a 23-pointed star on the bottom. The small lid has a couple tiny marks on the underside of the rim, but I can’t tell if they’re actual dents or just very minor imperfections in the metal. Either way, they really take nothing away from the piece and both jars and their lids appear to be in absolutely beautiful antique condition.
Note I am not an expert in antique vanity or dresser jars and I do not feel fully qualified to evaluate them, so I will leave that up to you.
