Description
LF&C Universal No. 2 Cast Iron Food Meat Grinder/Chopper Patent 1899-19009 1/2" long including the bottom wingnut. Outside diameter of top opening mouth 4" x 3", inside diameter of mouth is 2 1/4" x 1 5/8".
This grinder weighs 4 pounds 4.5 ounces. Heavy duty!
Landers, Frary & Clark was a housewares company based in New Britain, Connecticut. It operated from 1865 until its assets were sold
to the General Electric company in 1965.
Many of these items were marketed under the brand Universal.
The number 2 on the device referred to the size of the grinder, with the 3 model being the largest for heavy-duty use and the 00 model
the smallest.
In very good condition with signs of age and wear. Works smoothly. Can be taken apart for cleaning. Wood handle is in good condition
as well with no chips in the wood.
