Antique Cast Iron US Postal Mailbox Post Office Letters.
It is rusty. The paint is chipped all around.
It does have the mate for the mounting bracket, so the mounting hardware is complete, except for NO screws. No post.
This very rare original mailbox and manufactured by
Carlisle Foundry.
The front has a pull down for insertion of letters and a another lockable pull down for postman mail retrieval. The mailbox is cast iron.
