    Ceramic, or possibly cement (pretty heavy) glazed elephant. Purchased in SE Asia in the 1960s-1970s. Has always been used in our family as an indoor plant stand. I don't know how durable it would be outside, so I recommend indoor use only. Looks great when topped with a brass or ceramic vase with a ponytail palm or similar.
