CLASSIC 1898 TEDDY ROOSEVELT FOR GOVERNOR BUTTON WITH RABBIT'S FOOT AND UNIQUE BACK PAPER. Condition is Excellent! Shipped with USPS First Class.
Pin Diameter is 1.75 inches.
One of the all-time great classic TR celluloids, with an ideal rare back paper intact, and with a visually-appealing non-period rabbit’s foot that presents beautifully and relates to the back paper story:
The back paper reads: “You Can't Stop Teddy's Luck. The Rabbit's Foot Charm. This Rabbit Was Killed At Midnight In The Dark Of The Moon, On The Grave Of A Cross-Eyed Spaniard, On San Juan Hill, Cuba."
This is the very example that was offered at Hakes in November 2012 (I bought it!)

This is an outstanding example! (BTW: I much prefer this replaced rabbit’s foot which I’m not sure is real but looks real in all respects for display, as if it were an original, it would now be just a skeletal remnant and be visually unappealing. This is MUCH preferable and displays with the pin beautifully with presentation as it was intended when made in 1898!)
This classic has brought as much as 7 in past auctions (see link address below) and though I think that’s high, at any price this is an extremely majestic Teddy Roosevelt campaign pin with a great story and display value, and I always thought this was one of the all time best values of all Teddy Roosevelt pins.
