Also can be used for security in your house when a door or window is opened, or placed on a door so you can be informed if a child enters into some where he or she should not be. Has 52 optional melodies 100 dB volume  says 360 foot range

and can be used with multiple sensors all of which can be programed to ring with a different melody.
Can all so work with the optional Doorbell Sensor which can be configured to the various melodies and will work with the Mailbox Alert as a regular door bell in conjunction with the mailbox chime.
All three units run on battery, the chime unit which is the house uses 3 AAA and the unit in the mailbox uses 1 AA, the door bell button has a 23A 12 volt battery
