There are few drinks that have inspired their own vessel and become such an icon as the mint julep cup. Beginning in the late 1930's, the mint julep drink was served at the Kentucky Derby, and has become synonymous with the event ever since.
A sterling silver tumbler is also called a chalice or goblet or just a plain cup and are often used to commemorate a special occasion or event.
The use of these tumblers is not limited to mint juleps.
A wedding, an anniversary, a birth, a holiday feast, graduation, etc, all call for a special toast. You will find that using sterling silver goblets will give an older feel to your table setting while still being traditional. These sterling silver goblets are definitely exquisite and are vintage as well; increasing their value.
In my
opinion, everything tastes better from a silver cup.
Tumblers, goblets, chalices and cups are all names used to describe these beautiful vessels. Each cup has been cleaned and polished to
"Like New"
condition and are ready for use (See photos). Cups measure (3.00") tall, have a circular footed bottom measuring (2.00") in diameter, have flared self rims, open top has a diameter measuring (2 1/4"), Bottom stamped
