    Description

I am listing a collection of silver items as seen in the last photo so please see my other offerings and check back!
    ABOUT:
Beautiful and sturdy Art Nouveau julep cup, tumbler or wine glass in really excellent condition with applied flowers on one side, I believe they are magnolias or possibly orange blossoms?  The floral details were applied on to the cup, making it a nice thick piece of silver, it is not repousse or pressed.
    Has a monogram of Henri.
This is an antique piece from the Belle Epoque period that I acquired in France.  It is hallmarked and made of .950 (better than Sterling) Silver.
Elegant floral victorian design on one side of the cup.  Nice and sturdy hand feel on the piece
    which
has held its shape especially well.
    MEASUREMENTS:
Cup measures 2 3/4 inches diameter from rim to rim, slightly tapered with a base that measures 2 1/8 inches. It is a little over 3 1/2 inches tall.  Weight is a very sturdy 116 grams.
    HALLMARKS:
Marked with the French Minerve head hallmark for .950 sterling silver around the rim and a tiny maker's mark on the underside that says AD with a saddle that I could not identify.
    CONDITION DETAILS:
In estate condition considering age but it has held its shape really well.  The rim and base are still perfectly rounded.  No deep pin dings or sharp dents.  There are a few very shallow impressions on the base rim here or there and some nicks to the base from contact with the table but it sits sturdily.   Surface wear, scuffs and scratches from use and polish.  There is a cloudy textured area on the inside of the cup as seen in photos that I think was done in the making of the piece.  Some stubborn tarnish inside the bottom because it is hard to reach to polish but really nice age appropriate patina otherwise. Still a very sturdy piece with many years left.
But my disclaimer as with all my estate items -
Please see photos closely as this is not a mint condition item.
Thanks for stopping by my store!
