    Description

    This is a beautiful specimen consisting that is marketed as ATLANTISITE after the mythical city of Atlantis but it really consists of inclusions of the purple chromium containing mineral STICHTITE in the light greenish LIZARDITE member of the serpentine group of minerals with some small black inclusions of MAGNESIOCHROMITE and MAGNETITE on all sides from Stichtite Hill, Dundas Mineral Field, Tasmania, Australia. The specimen is 4.95 by 3.4 by 1.95 cms in size or about 1.98 by 1.36 by 0.78 inches and weighs 26.1 grams.
