NOS! Vintage Bright Brass Privacy Mortise Bolt with Solid Brass Turnpiece, 2 ½”
This listing is for a vintage 2 ½” backset Privacy Mortise Bolt with Brass Turnpiece.  The new old stock, high quality brass mortise bolt comes in the original sealed bag (1 opened for photos) and is in very good, unused condition.  Manufactured by Safe Hardware Company in New Britain, Connecticut, circa 1960’s, the vintage privacy mortise bolt features a solid brass bolt and turnpiece.  The lockset case measures approximately 3 ½” long by 1 ¼” tall and 9/16” thick with the attached plate measuring about 2 ½” x 7/8”.   The solid brass knob or turnpiece measures about 1 1/4" x 5/8" and has an oval face plate of about 2 3/8” x 1 3/16” with a 1” long spindle.  There is some spotting and blemishes on the brass surfaces as expected from decades of storage.  Six (6) ¾” brass screws are included.  Part No. 2571, made in the USA.
