    Description

Vaudeville Actress “Frankie”, New Hampshire studio cabinet photo, c 1895-1905
This appears to be a promotional photo for a vaudeville actress whose stage character was “Frankie” and who performed in New Hampshire. She poses in the role of a country girl ready to leave for the big city. She stands before a path between a rough pillar or gate post and a dilapidated wooden fence. She wears a short jacket with wide lapels and two rows of large buttons, dark gloves, and a long tartan pattern skirt. She holds a derby hat in her right hand and tips it as if in farewell.
    Size: 6 ¼” X 5” black frame around 4 ¾” X 3 5/8” photo. Blank black reverse. Photographer: Libbey’s, Nashua, N.H.
Extremely rare. I have found no other photographs of any kind for this actress.
