RARE DEDICATED PHOTO with MANUSCRIPT CAPTION  by an EXPLORER.
- DATE 07 02 1882 - VERY RARE -
Jean-Baptiste ROLLAND DE KESSANG (1841-1907) was a French EXPLORER in MALAYSIA & AFRICA.
On picture, he is dressed to explore the JUNGLE with his guns,
rifle and a gun on his belt.
Portrait made in Marseilles after his come back from MALACCA Peninsula in 1882
after studying malaysian wild fauna
and more particulary the endemic birds (years 1875 to 1881).
